Weekend Off, Sort Of

I am sitting here this morning beginning the weekend and looking around the lab. I have computer cases, everywhere, motherboards, power supplies and more. I am still knee deep in our build a PC series as I test, retest and then tweak and test again various build ideas and components. Add to this our field trip out to Cyber Security Day and you get the idea, my weekend is full. This however has had an unintended side effect, my brain is overflwoing with ideas to put on the blog and I cannot get a clear article put together, just to many ideas.

With that in mind this week I am going to skip a blog entry and concentrate on the work. However I promise next week we will have a blog entry for you plus a lot of cool stuff on the show. Until then, where the crap did my screw driver go?

  1. I can identify with your blog about so much to do and so little time. Been trying to follow you build article, been toying with the idea too. But on different level. Thinking of a passable gamer, but stronger on video for photo and desktop publishing. Got 4 5 inch drives and room for 2 floppies. I think the case is an ATX 17 1/2 high 7 3/4 wide 18 deep with an 1 inch faceplate.

    • Dan you might be surprised at how close our builds could be. Photo and Desktop Publishing and neither real demanding tasks and so you can actually get by with less computer for those. Also people often make the mistake of thinking for photo work you need a strong video card. Displaying a still photo requires nothing from the video card and the editing is really about the RAM and CPU.
